This show aired on Sunday, January 30 in Chicago, IL. Ken and I discussed a variety of topics, including President Obama’s State of the Union Address and topics related to higher education. We also covered the importance of getting started with the college selection process in 10th or 11th grade, and the challenge of finding time with high school guidance counselors. In the Chicagoland area, like in South Florida, high schools are overcrowded, access to guidance counselors is limited, and kids select schools based on name recognition, even if the school isn’t the “best fit”. We discussed how out-of-state, state universities can be the most costly option for families. Enjoy!
